Having beautiful long hair is the dream of many women. But it takes time and patience.

If your hair is struggling to grow or is growing slowly, know that there are tips to accelerate its growth: you can, for example, apply castor oil, make a mask with rice water or take dietary supplements.

Certain gestures, such as massaging the scalp, also allow hair to grow faster naturally. Here are 10 special hair growth tips!

1. Apply vegetable castor oil

Castor oil is said to make hair grow twice as fast. Indeed, this vegetable oil has a stimulating effect on hair growth.

By improving micro-circulation in the scalp, it promotes the transport of nutrients to the hair follicles. Better nourished, they generate more new hair.

In addition, thanks to its richness in fatty acids, it repairs and strengthens hair fiber.

Mixed with another vegetable oil (olive, jojoba, mustard oil, etc.), it is applied in an oil bath or as a mask.

It is very suitable for frizzy, curly, frizzy hair and Afro hair.

2. Massage her scalp

Scalp massage is a simple and effective technique to grow hair faster. This activates the entire blood network, unsticks the roots, and oxygenates the scalp.

Massage your skull with your fingertips, applying light pressure and making circular movements. A few minutes are enough.

Perform this massage in the shower, when shampooing, or in the evening before going to bed. This operation can be repeated several times a day.

If you have oily hair, be aware that massaging the scalp can increase sebum production. Stick to just one massage a day to avoid greasing the roots too quickly.

3. Make a brewer’s yeast hair mask

Applying brewer’s yeast is a trick from grandmother. This natural product is very rich in vitamins and trace elements. It contains in particular group B vitamins (B1, B2, B9) which contribute to the beauty and health of the hair.

Thus, brewer’s yeast promotes the production of keratin which structures and protects the hair fiber. It also limits breakage and prevents hair loss while promoting growth and micro-circulation.

It is applied as a hair mask, once or twice a week. To make this natural mask recipe, you will need the following ingredients:

  • 1 tablespoon brewer’s yeast
  • 2 egg yolks
  • 4 drops of cider vinegar
  • 1 teaspoon of honey

In a bowl, mix all the ingredients until you get a smooth and homogeneous preparation.

Apply the mask all over the hair, from roots to ends. Wrap your head in a towel or a Charlotte to trap the heat and optimize the effect of the treatment.

Leave on for 20 minutes before rinsing with clear water. This homemade hair growth mask is a must-have!

4. Rinse your hair with apple cider vinegar

Apple cider vinegar is one of the best products to grow hair faster.

Indeed, it activates blood circulation and unclogs the hair follicles. This prevents hair loss and stimulates hair growth.

Apple cider vinegar also brings shine, eliminates dandruff, and restores vitality and shine to the hair.

To take advantage of its benefits, nothing could be simpler: after shampooing, rinse your hair one last time with cider vinegar. In 1 week, you will already see the first results!

5. Do a rice water treatment

Another natural trick to grow your hair as quickly as possible: do a rice water treatment.

This cooking water is rich in starch, vitamins (B, E), and minerals (iron, potassium, zinc, magnesium, etc.). In addition, it has a pH close to that of the scalp.

Thanks to its nutrients, it boosts hair growth and helps to have long and strong hair. At the same time, its starch smoothes the hair fiber, moisturizes, and adds shine.

You can use it as a homemade hair conditioner. To do this, pour the rice water on damp hair, massage your scalp, and leave it on for about 20 minutes. Rinse with clear water. You can also use it as the last rinse water after shampooing.

Rice water is ideal for frizzy, frizzy, dull or tired hair.

6. Take dietary supplements

Food supplements are perfect for growing your hair faster without damaging it. They contain nutrients that support keratin production, accelerate hair growth, and improve hair beauty.

They are available in capsules, tablets, or powder. They are taken in the form of a course of several days, weeks, or months.

Choose supplements containing the following active ingredients:

  • biotin
  • keratin
  • sulfur amino acids: cysteine, methionine
  • minerals and trace elements: zinc, iron, silicon
  • vitamins: A, B, C, D, E
  • yeast
  • arugula
  • millet

Ask your doctor for advice before taking any dietary supplement.

7. Take care of your diet

Diet plays a major role in the beauty and health of hair. An unbalanced diet, too rich in fats or sugars, has a direct and visible impact on the hair.

For hair that grows fast and healthy, choose foods rich in protein, vitamins (A, B, C, E), minerals, and trace elements (iron, zinc, magnesium, selenium, sulfur).

We recommend eggs, green vegetables, fish rich in omega-3, dried fruits, and fruits rich in vitamin C.

8. Space out shampoos

Spacing out your shampoos is a good solution to make your hair grow faster.

Indeed, too frequent washes attack the scalp, grease the roots and remove all the sebum. However, the latter is necessary for the hydration and regeneration of the hair.

Wash your hair 2 to 3 times a week maximum. If you have oily hair, alternate with dry shampoo.

Finally, avoid washing your hair at night because growth is stimulated at night.

9. Cut your ends regularly

The presence of damaged and split ends slows hair growth. It is therefore necessary to cut them regularly, even if you have short hair.

Cut 1 to 2 cm every 2 or 3 months. In addition to stimulating growth, it restores suppleness, vitality, and strength to the hair.

The idea is to cut your hair according to the lunar calendar. Wait until the moon is in the waxing phase: the regrowth will be faster.

10. Exfoliate the scalp

Exfoliation eliminates impurities and accumulated dead cells that slow down growth. It also activates blood micro-circulation and promotes oxygenation of the scalp.

Make your scrub at home by mixing the following ingredients:

  • 3 tablespoons of rhassoul;
  • 1 teaspoon of jojoba vegetable oil;
  • 4 drops of essential oil of your choice (optional);
  • some water.

Apply to damp hair, on the scalp. Gently massage with fingertips in circular motions.

Leave on for 10 minutes then rinse with clean water or cider vinegar. To be done once a week maximum!
