Hair is for many women a strong symbol of femininity. Men are not left out and marketing also plays a lot in it. Whoever you are, here are some tips for healthy, stronger, and shinier hair.

While the cosmetics industry competes with imagination and recipes of all kinds to sell us products that are supposed to improve and care for the appearance of our hair, we offer you some natural recipes to restore shine and have beautiful hair.

To have beautiful hair, avoid attacks, and restore shine

As a general rule, to have beautiful hair, you must avoid damaging the hair too much. Too aggressive hair treatments, too regular (discoloration or permanent for example) are therefore to be avoided as much as possible.

There are many products to fight against dull hair: shampoos, conditioners, colorings, and scans… Unfortunately, most cosmetic hair products are full of harsh chemicals that do not help your hair stay healthy. Do not hesitate to switch to organic shampoos or make your own.

Our recipes against dull hair

No need to invest all your savings in high-end products and at the hairdresser to restore a little shine to your mane.

It is very easy to make your own  100% natural care. With simple and economical ingredients, you’ll be good for your hair and the planet.

Homemade shampoo for dull hair

  • an egg yolk
  • a teaspoon of white vinegar
  • a tablespoon of olive oil

Mix everything and use this mixture like a classic shampoo, massaging your scalp well. Rinse with clean water. That’s your shinier hair!

A natural mask to restore shine to your hair

  • an egg yolk
  • a teaspoon of honey

Mix everything, then spread the mixture on dry hair, like a classic mask. Wrap your hair in a hot towel and leave it on for 15 minutes.

All you have to do is wash your hair as usual.

Our rinsing tip for beautiful hair

You can also simply rinse your hair with cold water. This action will tighten the scales of your hair, and give it more shine.

For an even more intense effect, add the juice of a lemon to your rinsing water

Fight against hair loss

Your hair is starting to fall out? To fight against this phenomenon of alopecia, here are some recipes that apply to both men and women.

Food supplements to strengthen hair

First of all, know how to put all the chances on your side. Some dietary supplements can help you limit the loss of your hair, such as those with brewer’s yeast, or even nettle or alfalfa.

Drinking green tea would also be effective against hair loss.

Psychological factors, the stress in the first place, would aggravate hair loss.

Know how to take advantage of essential oils

To fight against hair loss, essential oils are precious allies. In your usual shampoo, you can add a few drops of essential oil of Atlas cedar, grapefruit, or rosemary to Cineole.

You can also create your own anti-hair loss treatment by mixing:

  • 2 egg yolks
  • a few drops of grapefruit essential oil
  • a teaspoon of rum
  • 2 tablespoons lemon juice

Apply the mixture to wet hair and leave on for ten minutes. Add white vinegar when rinsing.

Natural solutions against greasy hair

Many women complain that their hair gets greasy too quickly. Here again, natural solutions exist to have beautiful, non-greasy hair.

Space out the shampoos

Most of the time, this problem is caused by too frequent hair washing.

Indeed, it is not necessary to wash your hair every day: the more you wash it, the more the body produces sebum to protect itself. Space out your shampoos!

If your hair really gets greasy too quickly in the space of two days, the day after your shampoo, sprinkle your roots with talc and rub until the powder disappears, the latter will absorb the excess sebum.

Homemade shampoo with essential oils

Against oily hair, you can also concoct your own organic shampoo with essential oils.

  • 5 drops of cedar essential oil
  • 5 drops of lavender essential oil
  • an organic cleansing base
  • 5 drops of thyme essential oil
  • also, add 5 drops of grapefruit essential oil
  • 5 drops of lemon essential oil
  • 5 drops of rose geranium essential oil

Mix everything, apply by massaging gently (do not rub the scalp to prevent it from producing even more sebum), then rinse.

A purifying clay mask

To absorb excess sebum and purify your hair, you can also perform a clay mask once a week. There are different types of clay that will more or less adapt to the nature of your hair. Against oily hair, green clay is one of the most effective natural ingredients.
